No lift on 33s. Bump stop question?
Hey everyone,
been some time since I had a chance to build an xj up, and I'm real excited to get back into the groove of things. This xj project I've decided to go lowcog, but have a couple questions about it that. I've locked down some new steering, shocks, control arms, and cut fenders enough. I'm just concerned about bump stops. I know bump stops are super important with lowcog, and I was just wondering if anyone new what size bump stops I should get with 33s and no lift? Going to be pretty big I'm assuming, but I was hoping someone out there in the Cherokee forum has done what I'm doing. Thanks in advance guys!

Are we assuming that your limiting factor for uptravel is tire meeting sheetmetal? As always with bump-stops, your best outcome will come from measuring and keeping your limiting factors in mind, e.g. tire to sheetmetal, shocks bottoming, etc. It's going to be difficult to find someone with the exact setup you have, but I suppose someone might be able to get you in the ballpark so you can fine-tune the lengths later.

I do believe tire to fender will be the resisting factor as of now, may be shocks or track bar next, but for now I think that'll be the issues. I'll flex it now and measure best I can. Thanks!
