Default no front brakes

I did a dana44 and ford 9in swap with disc brakes. it has new calipers front and rear and new booster. replaced the booster because it had a leak. my problem is the front brakes don't work. the rear works fine. but the front doesn't do anything. any ideas would help.

lol! yes, when we bleed them. the front worked for a minute. the pedal felt good. then they just stopped. the pedal goes to the floor. when we bleed them the rims and tires where off. watched the calipers and they worked. but after putting the rims and tires back on and did a test run. the pedal went to the floor. so we bleed them again and again.

Make sure the calipers are on the right sides. If they are not the bleeders will be above the brake line and impossible to get all the air out. Also did you start bleeding farthest from the master cylinder? passenger rear- driver rear-passenger front-driver front.

holly sh.... thinking about it. I think the dam bleeders are on top. but I was going by how the old ones where on it.

going to give that a try. I bet that fixes it.

umm, bleeders should be above the brake lines...

i think you may need a larger booster, like that off an E350 or something if i recall.

swapping the calipers fixed the problem. bleeders are now on the bottom. I still need to rebleed the whole system. but the pedal doesn't hit the floor no more and they work now.

thank you again xjfirefighter!!!!!!!!

You're kidding right? The bleeders absolutely go on the TOP of the caliper otherwise you CANNOT get all the air out of them.

on my swap I had to crack the banjo fitting to get air out of the calipers. then bleed them from the bleeder which should be on top of the brakelines. also did you bench bleed your mastercylinder? are you running the ford calipers might look into doing the e350 mastercylinder swap.

Once he bleeds it and trys it he will see, BLEEDER GOES ON TOP, very common issue that seems so simple but everyone sees it happen,

I've heared they need to be on top and I've heard on the bottom. even when I got the axle they where on top. yes I agree the bleeder needs to be on top. but after replacing just about everything and with the bleeders on top from the begainning. the front brakes never worked. swapped them so the bleeder are on the bottom and they work perfect. I don't get why they work this way. but i'm sticking with it.
