Hey forum.

So I'm going to be installing a SYE on my 89 Cherokee on Monday. I swapped my vac disconnect Dana 30 for a non vac disconnect hp Dana 30. So really the only reason I didn't rip out the vacuum harness for that is to retain the 4wd indicator functionality. Now instead of putting on the old vac switch on the new Sye, will the newer style electrical switch work in its place instead? Both switches look like they have a similar thread. If I remember right the actual part time indicator switch is located underneath the coolant bottle, and I'm guessing its just a ground circuit. So could I just extended the wire to the back of the t case and use the newer style switch?

The last picture is the location I'm talking about on the Sye.
