New Rear Bumper JCR , ProtoFab or Wilderness Help me decide
I want to buy a new rear bumper for my XJ this summer , I wanted a tire carrier and gas can carrier and would prefer a bumper contour to match the jeep. Here are my pics.
JCR Crusader Series:
I really like the way this mathes up to the body.
I'm not sure about the fuel cans they are small and spendie ,but I could add more to this carrier.
And I'm not happy with there customer service so far I emailed them a question about their bumpers from their site approx 2 weeks ago and got a auto response from them but no other contact.
Proto Fab Rock Solid:
And their fuel can carrier
I'm not sure I like the Hiem Joints But I did get a quick response to question form Mike at ProtoFab.
Wilderness Rack:
And the corner guard from Rocky Road Outfitters

After looking at a dozen different ones, I decided on the Detours USA slimline bumper.
Extremely well built. Lots of options and provides contour around the rockers.
Check it out...

I did look at the Tomkens and didn't see anything that I liked. The hubfabs have potential but I don't like to spend that kind of money on things that I cannot see first, if he posts pics of one with a tire carrier and jerry can mount I will consider his too.

I don't doubt the quality of his work it's what it would look like that I'm unsure of and I would want to know that ahead of time.

redjeep1983 that is a nice set up ,but it dosen't have a fuel can carrier and that is a must for me and 2 cans would be better. Nice Jeep I like it.

Yeh I hate having to cut my wheeling time down just to have enough fuel to get back out that is why I won't take one without the mount.
