new lift, relocated track bar..settled now offcenter
Recently put an re 3.5 lift on. Ended up throwing all new tie rods v8 zj ones. And a new oem track bar. Old one was actually stretched out.
Anyhow I relocated over 3/4" like told to do by rubicon express. All looked just fine. After a couple weeks now, I've noticed that the axle is out just a little bit more on the passenger side. Thinking that the springs may have settled slightly... I put it back in factory location and it was wayyy over on the drivers side.
I know everyone is going to say get an adjustable track bar. And I just may. But, my jeep sits a little higher in the rear, I was thinking a 1" coil spacer to level it back out if not have the rear a hair lower, I like the look. I have jacked up the truck at the frame giving the coil about another inch and track bar pulls it back to the drivers side just about that 3/8" that its off.
What do you guys think?

I had the same prob in the rear,I took out one leaf of my rear pack and now it sits level and rides soft. As far as the track bar I always go adjustable that way you can perfectly center the axle. I have had the BDS and the jks, both are descent. It will give it better road manners if both axles fallow eachother exactly. Try searching for a relocation bracket that goes on the axle and them the track bar bolts to it. I am quite sure I got one once from skyjacker about 29.99 I think. All it did was move the mounting hole up a lil bit. When you say they had u move it, you moved The ball and socket at the frame over to the pass side 3/4 "? If it was me and I couldn't buy the adjustable I would unhook track bar and try to center the axle loosely under jeep, weld shut both the holes and drill a new hole with the axle centered. You can remove wheels and use rotors to measure from. I would try for as close to center as you can. Hope this might help?

If I were to relocate it again. I would just get an adjustable one at that point.
And yes it was centered originally.
It's still very close. Close enough that its possible that the crappy mud tires may be making it look further off than it even is.

I know sometimes you gotta get what you can but ive always had bad luck with cheap mud tires. As far as adjustable bars go I have the BDS one on my mj right now and have had it for a few years and its goin strong! I like having the leaf outta the rear, it makes the ride good and it flexes great. I cant hardly haul anything at all without it saggin in the rear. Not as big of a problem in the xj though

not really.. just search on ebay, forums, craigslist, or google.. there will be aluminum spacers and rubber. i would probably get a rubber spacer. should be fairly cheap. maybe $15-20?
