Default new front shock install???

Hey everybody just got a new set of shocks but while installing the front the shocks came in like this...... but that silver piece doesn't fit at all thru the hole after oiling it up and everything. When it got somewhat all the way in the bushing looked as it definitely shouldn't. Help please!!! I know this is probably so simple but I'm so lost here haha

Step 1. Put the bushing end in vice.

Step 2. Grab BFH.

Step 3. Bang evil silver piece into bushing.

Step 4. Drink beer.

It goes in. My RC shocks came with them in and i did not need them so i banged um out. Bushings are A OK.

Remove current shocks, install new ones. Nothing difficult about it.

but funny... if you can't fix it with a BFH, then it's an electrical problem.

or get some BPE or Bar Pin Eliminators.

you can actually use your discarded rear sway bar brackets as BPEs.

HAHAHA right....hours later....a spring compressor later... springs finally went in. The new springs were like double and incredibly hard to compress enough to slide right in! I meant to say tips on spring install, my bad haha

To replace my springs:
I jacked up the axle, put the wheel opposite the spring I was removing on a wheel ramp, then lowered the jack all the way down. The opposite side of the axle stayed up while the side I was working on dropped. All the spring needed then was a little nudge from a 4 ft wrecking bar (crow bar) and sprooiiinng.....out.

He said to remove SHOCKS. nothing mentioned about springs.

Shocks for me were in and out in 10 minutes max for each.
Springs were a adventure in Profanity.
