Hello all, I just put a 3'' lift on my jeep and now it pulls to the right very hard. I got an allignment done on it and the report said that the camber and caster is out of spec and they would need to put in upper and lower ball joints to fix this problem. I am new to the whole jeep lifting thing and I tried to research this problem on this forum, but I'm not having any luck. Does the track bar need to be replaced with another adjustable one? Do I need to get the upper and lower ball joints the allignment shop was telling me about? Any help from you Jeep gurus out there would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance,
Chaz

The caster is adjustable on an XJ by adding or removing shims at the lower control arm mount on the frame. The special ball joints will do both caster and camber if installed correctly, but it is a lot of work. Just how bad is the camber out?

If you are new to the XJ scene get the "High performance Jeep Cherokee builders guide" by Eric Zappe. Barnes and Noble carry it as does Amazon.com. Very helpful. Now, with that said, when I first caught the modification bug I just put in a 3" lift also. There is no camber adjustment on the XJ, just caster. I had to move my track bar mounting hole on the axle a half inch, did a quick alignment and it was all good. Lifting a Jeep will school you in suspension geometry fast. Do your homework, some little changes make big results.
