Hey guys i have a 1990 XJ. Its a Renix car. Whats the deal with the neon injector swap? What are the advantages and disadvantages with them? What Neon Injector would my jeep need?

Not Neon, you need Volvo 746 injectors. I have them in my '89.

Some claim their engines idle smoother and some claim an increase in fuel economy. I put the 703s in my '98 and haven't seen any difference so I think it's a gimmick.

I got better fuel economy on my jeeps along with better throttle response

And most importantly. It get rid of stock injectors which are known to be prone for splitting in middle and leaking fuel which would cause fires

it may be different because the mine is a renix vehicle. im gonna look at prices and see if the extra MPG is worth the swap

It's worth it for these differences. I too, in my '98, experienced better mpgs, throttle response & my "butt-o-meter" noticed a difference.
Honestly, in my '89 I can't tell a difference but I know for a fact they will not fall apart like the stock injectors & they have to be getting better mpgs due to years of improved injector technology.
