need some answers on lift kit/transfer case drop
can someone please answer me a quick question.....i bought a 97 cherokee sport and i really want to lift it, but im working with a very tight budget. im looking at the rubicon express 2 inch budget lift.... is that lift gonna require me to get a transfer case drop kit as well or will driveline angles be ok after a 2 inch lift? Also....being on a budget, i am my own mechanic, are lift kits difficult to install? i have access to most tools and am a fairly competent mechanic....i just come from a drag racing and hot rod background.

T-case drop not hard to do.
One thing you need to know though, there is one bolt and one stud on each side of the crossmember.
The studs are tough to get out, you may need visegrips. More importantly, those studs have shoulders at their midpoint. The holes in the crossmember aren't big enough for the shoulders to fit through.
The thing to do is either lower the whole crossmember first, or one side at a time to prevent stripping the nut inside the frame.
If you do strip a frame nut, you can drill a hole in the side of the frame with a 1" hole saw, so you can top nut the new longer bolt.
I used two larger nuts stacked up on each new bolt to provide the space needed for the drop.

The shim goes between the leaf spring and the spring perch on the rear axle.
This is done to get parallel angles.

That's a good picture, or tom woods website has some gear reading.

As far as the bb is concerned, I've installed in a drive way.
Disconnect shocks, jack the front of your Jeep up with the tires off.
Take off the spring keeper, now jack up one side of the axle like flexing, now it is possible to pop the spring out with a crow bar, install bb above the spring isolator. Repeat for other side.
Install the spring, spring keeper, shocks and done.
Done might have a harder time but i didn't think it was that bad.

I also have a question about tc drops. I put a 4.5 lift kit on and it came with a one inch drop. Should I drop more? Im getting a lot of vibrations and popping sounds from my rear axel

Then you can find an SYE for $200 and up.
Might be able to find a little cheaper but that was just the prices i found in a short search.
It is also available to go with the hack & tap from IRO for $100 just need a front drive shaft to go with it unless you are in the 6"+ lift range where you will be pushing the limits of travel for a stock shaft.
