Need help setting up driveshaft angle. Stumped
Hello all. I'll just get straight into this. I am experiencing vibes during acceleration. All u joints on the jeep are only six months old. It is lifted 4.5" with a hack and tap SYE, stock XJ front driveshaft, and 6 degree leaf shims.
The vibration only started happening recently.
For a CV driveshaft setup, I understand you want the rear diff pinon parallel with the driveshaft.
Here's some pictures. My driveshaft is 17*, my diff is 12*. That tells me I need a NINE degree shim or higher, for a mere 4.5" lift? I feel like something is not adding up here.
