has anybody tried pulling a muffler from another vehicle at a pick n pull, and gotten a decent sound result? if i could spend 10$ on a muffler vs the ladder well that would be pretty cool. just curious. if nobodys tried with decent results ill be getting me a cheap muffler from autozone in the future.

i spend 20$ on a brand new thrush turbo muffler, sounds great its just a cheap knockoff of flowmaster

Dude go spend 30$ on a thrush welded.. Exact same as flow 40

Agree the thrush turbo has a mean should to it and holda up good here in the great lakes.

hes riight the only differance is, its made out of cheaper metal, it will still last 10 years before it rusts out

X2. I have had both on my cherokee the thrush is def a better deal for how well its made and they sound exactly the same.

Ya Iv had pretty good results doing this got a good one for my brothers s10 got the muffler off a Land Rover it had a Flowmaster 44 under it so I say go for it you can get a quality muffler for cheap

The thrush welded is literally an exact copy of the flowmaster 40.

I need a new muffler as well and am having trouble deciding on a thrush glass pack or a welded. I had a glasspack on my XJ I owned a year ago but can't honestly remember what it sounded like lol.
