Mounting OffRoad Lights by wipers
i've had $80 worth of lights break on me so im remounting them from the front bumper to somewhere alil more protected. i was thinking up against the windsheild under the pastic fake vents where the windsheild wipers go.
If i Cut a few holes there going down to mount some lights will there be any harm? whats under there?
my plans are to cut a hole there , by the windsheild wipes, then under the hood cut 2 holes , one on each side, in the back wall to wire everything up and tighten down the lights then make a new peice to fit in that but just screw it in this time so if anything is needed to be done i can do it without much hassle

Not sure where you are trying to put them, but the cowl come off if you take off the wiper arms and unscrew the screws. Its pretty easy.
Why not just spend $50 and get some A-pillar light brackets? Really easy and look great.

Put them back on the bumper and add a brow to protect them.
A brow also keeps the fat a--es from leaning on them and knocking them out of adjustment

the windshield is terrible. i have them there now and i never turn them on. when my jeep was black it was tollerable, but with anything lighter than black the visibility actually gets worse when you turn them on
