Default motor removed now what????

Im in thw process of doin a motor swap and am wondering if there are any tricks or extra things to do in the engine compartment. Im talkin about welding pinch seams, bracing...ect. Give me your ideas or what u have done. I already have 1/2" bumper mounts back to the coil springs and 1/4" 3x3 angle iron frame stiffeners from in front of the old lower c arm mounts to the rear spring hangers. But no upgrades on the frame in the engine compartment. Thanks in advance...

Steering box brace should be replaced with a new one made of better/stronger materials. If you want to do a new headlight harness, it helps to have the extra room. Also any upgrades you want to do to the motor, gasket replacement, headers, only gets easier with the motor out.

Cool. Didnt think of the headlight harness. I was goin to clean up the rest of the harness already. Im doin headlight upgrade to crystal clears anyway so cool. And im goin to gasket match or match port the head/intake and new rings and bearings and i have a new rebuilt head from my old motor that hydrolocked and broke a rod. Steering box brace and stuff is good idea to.

If you wanted to paint the engine bay right now is the best time to do it.

plate the front end unirails. dont go too thick otherwise your springs might rub. i think 3/16 is max for the front. i tried 1/4 plate but couldn't get it behind the springs...

Yeah im goin to finish the rails for sure. And build a new track bar mount with a brace to the other side and maybe a steering box brace.
