Motor mount issue
1 Attachment(s)
I decided to switch out my motor mounts with some Brown Dogs while I was doing my header swap and I've come across an issue. This is how my driver side mount is seated, passenger side is fine.
Attachment 358335 Contacted Brown Dog Industries and they were saying it could be the trans mount or possibly that the truck was in an accident. I replaced the trans mount yesterday, didn't fix the issue at all. Carfax is clean and I do not see anything that could have caused this due to frame damage. Car drives straight as well. I was hoping after driving it a bit the mount would shift, but no dice. The mount for the engine side has a few numbers written on it making me think that it may have been replaced. Need to fix this, any advice would be great since I am unsure on how to fix this. Thanks in advance. |
Did you try swapping it out with the other side? Just a thought.

They should be identical.

They are both different, they can only be installed on their specific side.
Currently getting help from Tim over at Brown Dog Industries. Extremely great customer service might I add. It would be nice if all companies were as helpful as they are. |

Maybe they're labeled wrong. Hope you get it figured out.

I just went with oreillys 10 bucks each and a lifetime warranty just saying

Changing the pass side on my 92. The oil filter bracket is in the way of the bolt. Anyone ran into this?

Fastenal is the only place I could get a new metric bolt long enough that was high strength. It needs to be grade 8 or better/equivalent. |

I'm glad I went with Iron Man mounts now. They weren't side specific. |

Yep. I did. Had to cut the bolt and get a new one.

Unless you wanna pop off that oil filter housing (you don't, trust me), gotta cut the head off. Good news, bolt cost me less than $5. |
is your transmission crossmember on backwards? (yes this is possible)

Ugh this is bugging me so badly. What the heck could it be? I need to drive this thing and I really shouldn't considering I am getting crazy vibrations.
