Default More Locker questions.....

So I've decided to do a lunch box but looking around the forum I've seen people bad mouth putting it in the rear vs the front? my thought process would be lunch box the rear and put a selectable in the front. what would be better about the other way around? or what would be worse?

The lunchbox lockers only engage when you put power to them.

Selectable in the rear since it always has torque applied to it when driving around. You won't even notice a ratcheting locker in the front while in 2 wheel.

I've got a Spartan in the rear aside from it clicking on tight turns it's hardly noticeable around town. the difference on the trail is unbelievable!!!

Installing a lunch box in the rear and a selectable in the front is the way to go. Not sure where Heber city Utah is but if you're running any slick rock trails [ as in Moab ] you'll need to be in 4-lo and still be able to turn. Having the selectable front you can run open and be able to turn until you need true 4 wheel traction.

Now this is one locker on a daily driver vehicle

I have read that if you live in the north with snow and Ice you want your locker in the front.

If you live in the south with hardly and snow or ice then put it where ever the heck you want lol. So I am putting Spartans in the front and rear on a daily driver type vehicle.

I live in the north. I run a Detroit in the rear and an E-Locker in the front.

Running a locker in the rear does take a little getting use to, but it isn't that hard.

In snow, I would not want an auto locker in the front. The problem with a front locker that can't be turned off is they have a tendency to lock and not get enough differential input to unlock in a corner on slick roads, so you end up not turning. [ that can really suck! ]
