Modify tire carrier?
I originally bought this to put on the wife's 93 XJ. She doesn't want it so now my gears are spinning. Thinking of modifying this to put on the MJ.

I like it. I have a similar project coming up involving a different type of carrier and a custom bumper which I have yet to build. Interested to see your pivot/latch solutions.

Okay, Lee, First off, nice score, it can be made to work. That said, I feel it needs to be shortened a bit, just looks rather tall for the tailgate. Do you have better pics of the original mounting points of the carrier? Looks like it bolts to a stock bumper, which I know you don't have, haha. It can be done, but expect some cutting and grinding to make it right, but you know that already, you know where I'm at, just ask if any questions.
