MOAB wheels on a 99???

I've seen someone here with MOAB (16"?) and Rubicon (17") wheels on their XJ. How do you fit them? I thought 2006+ wheels don't fit our 5x4.5 bolt pattern? Can there be some sort of adapter? Are they strong if so?

moab/rubi wheels through 2006 are 5x4.5, which is what I am running. 2007 and up are 5x5, and require an adapter.

If you go to naxja, and search for a build thread from user srmitchell he is running the 16" Moab's Same bolt pattern so direct bolt-in. 17" 5x5 pattern, need spacers

I had a chance to buy some 2006 Wrangler wheels and tires (6200 miles on them. Regular Wrangler wheels, NOT MOAb in this particular case) and the online sources I saw said this wheel was a 5x5. Are the MOAB's different for 2006?
