Mini-spool ?
I hear alot about Spartan & Aussie lockers,I'm running a rear Aussie right now.
My question is,does anyone run a mini-spool or spool in their 8.25?
Do they even make one for the 29 spline 8.25?
I want to replace the Aussie because I hate the driving characteristics of a rear lunch box locker.

im not 100% on whether or not they make a mini spool for the 8.25.
but, what driving characteristics do you not like about the aussie?
because a mini spool tends to make street driving a little more harsh than a lunchbox locker
edit, and if youd rather run a mini spool, why not just go ahead and weld up some spiders in it.

You should never run a spool or a welded diff on a street driven rig. You will break more stuff on the road than in the dirt with a spool.

I don't like it trying to lock when off the gas,or the way the rear wants to "walk" in curves.
I don't want to weld it 'cause I thought the carrier was too weak & would break.I may just weld up the Aussie.

There is no way I'm paying what they want for a Eaton/Powertrax.
Also a spool or welded dif would kill your tires of its a dd.

Yeah, I know it will eat tires faster & it will be locked all the time. It's gonna be a toy soon so I may put the spiders back in 'till it is.
8.8 LS swap? Maybe.
