the second leaf along with the main leaf wrap around the front bushing. this means overall a stronger leaf pack and more resistance to axle wrap.

A Military wrapped spring has more then the one leaf wrapped around the bushings, Makes it stronger, and so that if your main or next to main leaf breaks the other leaf with still hold the vehicle up and be able to drive on it until repairable. (I've seen the main leaf break and still be drivable off the trail with no problems)

Regular wrapped spring

I have never seen a main leaf break on a dd. Seen many of the rest break or crack.
I like the idea. I tend to overbuild. Don't know if the added cost would be worth it.

i wouldnt run regular wrap again. most of the higher end quality leaf packs are mil wrap. you get what you pay for.

Just outta curiousity, where are you finding these military wrap springs?

All the springs Ive found for my '91 just either say standard or heavy duty with an increased spring rate. Nothing military wrap. If it's not that much more money, I'd love that extra strength. Especially since I'll be installing a torque monster v8 soon.... one day.... in a while.... hopefully....
