Default Make a lift kit shorter?

I have a 8 inch lift on my cherokee atm but i was thinkin about making it a 6 because its tall. Its 8 inch coils w. 6.5 leafs and 1.5 shackles. But i have custom made front and rear drive shafts and bilstein 5150. The question is would the difference in lift make the shafts unusable and are bilstein 5150 made for certain heights or is it all the same shock? Also would i have to re adjust the track bar and steering. (1 ton high steer, double sheer trac bar)

Drive shafts would be fine, track bar would need adjusted as would drag link and the shocks are height specific but you may want to check because most are for a range like 4-6" and 6-8" so you may be fine.

^ I would agree, but as long as you bump stop it the shocks should be fine...

Would this also apply to the control arms? They're iron rock non-adjustables?

Yes long arms and I'd love a interior/exterior roll cage but thats too much money. And i want it like an inch shorter because the drive line gets vibes and it feels too top heavy. I'd rather just cut the fender a bit more.

I also thought about putting front bumper + winch as well as a rear bumper and tire carrier to weigh it down but that's outta my budget :/

It states long arms are for 4.5-8" so you should be good.

you have my dream lift, and you wanna make it shorter!!!!!?????? NOOOOO!!!!

LOL

you could get a different front spring and change the shackle in the rear... that should be it for only a 1-2 in drop.

what tires do you have on it? maybe you need a bigger/wider tire to stabilize it more.

I kit comes with a 1" add a leaf, so i was gunna remove it and get 6.5 springs with .75 spacers. But, i'm thinkin about just putting bumpers and everything else would weigh it down some. I got 35 x 12.5 km2's
