At what height lift is it generally recommended to go with aftermarket lca's?

3" is about as high as you can go on stock lower control arms and even then I would get new lca's.

And aftermarket control arms are a great upgrade over the tin-foil OEM arms.

Yes the stock ones aren't all that strong and if you plan on going over 3" then buy HD Adj. U/LCA's to keep everything in the correct position.

I would do it at 3 just like everybody else said. You might aswell do Upper's then too that way you only have to get aligned once.
