Default Lots of Questions.

Well I've been looking for a lot of help on here lately because of my recent present my Jeep gave me, Death Wobble. Now after doing my research and spending countless hours looking under the front end as my brother steers back and forth, I've replaced the TRE off of the pitman arm and installed a brand new Rough Country Adjustable Trac bar. After all of this hassle I still have DW. It has been aligned, I've had the tires balanced twice, and I'm wondering where to turn next. My other TRE's have no play. I'm considering new control arms. I've already thrown a bunch of money into this, and I need a little more help. Thanks in advance. Also, forgot to add, I have a 4.5 inch lift.

Control arm bushings and ball joints are the next big factors if your alignment is truly correct.

poly bushings instead of rubber on the control arms may be a good way to go. also you can check the lower control arm brackets on the axle and make sure that the holes are not ovaled out.

An alignment shop should be able to tell you what is bad...otherwise they shouldn't be able to align it...

So...how is it being aligned?

Bad axle ujoints could cause DW.

Pay attention to what the alignment shop tells you.

If you have 4.5 inches of lift and are still on the stock control arms more than likely your caster is bad. Did you have the alignment checked or just the toe in?
Did the shop give you a copy of alignment print out?

Did you get the trackbar with the heim or the tie rod end on it? Check the axle side bolt of the trackbar, sometimes the shim inside the bushing is too big, or theyll throw a smaller bolt in with the hardware kit, it sometimes is too small for the original hole, causing some play, resulting in DW...I would upgrade to adjustable control arms too...

there is close to no play in the trac bar, and i supplied my own grade 8. and i have the regular tre on the frame side.. i still am on the stock arms. ill do the u joints then ask for the adjustable arms for a birthday gift. should that get rid of my DW?

I have personaly seen dw caused by overloaded or weak side walled tires.if you can safely put it into a dw have a passenger watch to see if the tires are flexing back and forth

Possibly, but still check the axle bolt, even a little play will cause DW...

Start at the track bar to see if there's any play. have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while you look at it.

Those stock arms could definitely be causing your alignment to be off. Do you not even have drop brackets?

And you should definitely start with the axle u joints. Alignment shops can generally be able to tell you what's bad and what's still good
