A lot of questions

I've come to the conclusion that for an upcoming trip to Colorado I'm gonna have to strengthen my axles up. I'm lookin at this for the 30 upfront http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...24553&viewitem= and some sort of locker (ARB, OX, Detroit?), but i'll prolly have to wait and put a locker in the back. I think the 8.25 in the back is strong enough and will just need somesort of locker (Above). Idk a lot about gears but am guessing I'd need something like 4.10 or possibly 4.56 front and back. I'm sitting on 31's now and my goal is 35's but thats years away. This will deffinately have to be on a budget as I'm only in highschool and my business wont be up and running until the summer when all these will happen. The trips at the end of July so I've got 5 months to save and pick the needed parts carefully. Another thing is if anyone could help me pick out the good parts and where to get them, or if anyone knows where to get any of those parts cheap thatd also be greatly appreciated. i think that covers about most of it for now

On your queston about gears, I would go with the 4.56. They will be pretty low for the 31's, but if you do intend to go up to 35" tires in the future the 4.56 would work great on those. So if it were me I would keep the stock gears on the 31's and not upgrade the gears till your ready to go bigger on the tires

What do you think of 4.10's?

4.10's would be great for 31's and still be fine for 35"s. Hell I run stock 3.55 gears on 33" tires and can still smoke the tires. But in your defense I live in south TX and it is very flat here. Hope this helps

go 4.56's
you'll be happy you did when you get to colorado
they're way nice for rock climbing

x2 on the 4.56s... as far as a locker goes, i would definitely lock the rear before the front.
some better axle shafts and beefier u-joints are a good step for additional strength
