Looking for OTK steering advice
99 xj 6.5" lift re long arms d30/chry8.25 sye 4.0 AW4
Which company offers the best OTK steering set up? I have access to a reamer and I am confident I could ream my pitman arm and knuckles. So who's got what? Prices pics pros/cons install difficulty would all be great to put in :balloon: |
Serious Offroad is your best starting point.
FST has an awesome setup as well. Could always go JCR Offroad. Ruffstuff offers some good stuff too. Lots of good options |
We run 7/8" heat and cryo treayed chromo Heims from Ruffstuff. Along with solid 1-1/4" hex used for the dragline and tie rod, it's one of the heaviest kits out there. You won't be bending it. Check out our website and let me know if you have any questions.

im thinkn about goin with theyre UTK steering but wonder how it will do at 6" lift
|
I have rustys setup with some go fer it tapered slugs. I can say I still have the factory trac bar mount, have a 2" lift, and the rustys setup works, but is far from ideal, also note they use very cheap tie rod ends when they send it to you.

at 6" you NEED OTK steering and OTA trackbar. there are people that dont do it but theyre dumb and their jeep drives like garbage no matter how much they claim it drives better than stock. |
i was considering the Serious offroad kit not rustys, i think im gonna go ahead and get it thanks fellas

You should purchase a decent drop pitman arm too if running UTK steering on a 6" lift.
