looking for lift advice
Ok so I’m getting a parts list together for my build and have had a hard time deciding what to do. As I mention in my intro thread I’m looking to do 3-3.5" and run 31x10.50 maybe wider if I can with the correct back spacing. This is for a daily driver/weekend warrior I drive 80 miles a day (round trip) so nothing to crazy. I should mention one thing I require is full rear springs no AAL. I have been looking at RE and Rusty’s I have no problem ordering piece by piece from multiple sources especially if it will save me money, but I need a good parts list to go by. I did notice the rusty’s kit does not include LCAs I’m assuming I should get a set anyway. So I guess my question is what I need to do to get the most travel without re gearing or adding a SYE right away while maintaining highway drivability. O I forgot to mention the wheels that came on the jeep have a 3 ¾” backspacing Thanks....

If I'm not mistaken you can get a way with stock lower control arms for 3 inches, don't quote me on that, however you ride will be alot better if you get adjustable control arms or longer fixed, and if you have the money I would go ahead and get uppers at the same time so you have room for more lift in the future if you want.

If you're willing to drop the coin go with the RE. 3.5" and 31's will be fine, you could probably go with 32's or even 33's if you don't mind cutting your fenders. I ran 31's with a 2" bb for almost a year with 3.75" backspacing and only rubbed on my lca's at full lock.
Also, if you're even thinking about doing a lift soon it wouldn't hurt to start spraying your bolts down with some PB. Don't be like me and wait till you start installing it and end up breaking weld nuts.

U plan on doing the lift soon ish..... need to finish brakes heater core and oil leak the tires that came on this thing are bald but I don't want to buy tires twice so I'd rather do the lift and get even a used set of 31s.... I'm kinda sticking with that size to maintain decent gas mileage the tire on it now are 235/70R15 and look like balloons.... for now I'm leaving stock fenders until I find a need to cut for clearance. Once this one is lifted it wont go higher down the road the wife and I plan on building a larger one but not for a DD. This of course will come after I lift her WK....

That's a pretty good deal, guessing from 4wheelparts? I would get it now if I were you, I just pieced together a 4.5" super flex (already had the control arms and 1 leaf spring) after buying everything else I needed and new bushings I should have just gotten a new kit.

In my experience, rustys was fairly normal on shipping, when you consider how big and awkward a lift kit is.
And when I have called, they have always been VERY helpful.

Little more than a penny only reason I was gonna order from them was cause of the additional 125 off and free shipping but unfortunately I had to go but a set of used tires ans start driving her everyday so my funds are set back a little...... honestly I was really trying to find out what lift I was going to be better off with or how big I could go while maintaining decent gas mileage and power without regearing
