Longer sway bar end links, from different vehicle?
Hey there guys, I tried to search this out, but I'm on the iPhone app and its a bit difficult. I thought it would be in the "budget builds : what junkyard parts will fit Cherokees" thread, but I didn't see it.
Well then... I'm putting my 3.5" skyjacker lift in my 2001 xj sport, 4x4 4.0. I busted my passenger side sway bar end link taking it off, so now since I need longer end links anyway, i figured I would see if anyone knew of any end links from other trucks (I heard f350 rear??) that are long enough to fit with a 3.5" lift? Otherwise I was going to do the poor mans extension off a new stock end link, that I saw on teh interwebz.

check the bigger ford trucks or any large truck for that matter, my friend found some that worked with 5.5" of lift and when he only had 3.5"
I'm sure the last set we grabbed were off of a 80's f350

you can steal rear WJ links...they are good for 3-4 inches of lift. you have to fab a bracket since they have eye holes on both sides and not a threaded top. i have a set that i'm installing with my lift.

Question. How do you think I can whip some up for a 2" lift? They said the tj links were just a little bit too long. Is there any way I can whip something up to just make a 2" ectension for the stock links? And how did you make the quick disco's? eventually I'd like to do something like that.

Sorry, this was meant for a different post haha.
Thanks fo all of the info!
I was able to find a 8.25 axle in the junkyard with 3.55, already have it installed. Almost finished the lift in the rear but the very last bolt of the job, front eye leaf spring, busted off the welded nut and just spins now. Tomorrow I have to figure that out. Drilling the bolt out and welding new nut. So two questions.
As I am in the military and really had to blow several people to get the day off to work on this, is it OK to drive around 150 miles with just the rear lifted until incan do the front? Or is that I'll advised?
Secondly IRO did not send all of the parts for the endlinks, same as above, OK to drive around 150 on highway with stock endlinks until IRO sends me the missing hardware?

It will look pretty goofy, but I don't think it will cause any harm. I drove around for a week with my rear lifted almost 2" higher than my front. No issues whatsoever.
