long arm upgrade = fan rubbed hole in radiator
ok so long story short i just installed my longarm upgrade. wont post brand unless requested. but anyways i went from a 1 inch dropped crossmember to according to the company a 3/4 inch drop so that obviously is what did it i dont think. what was occuring is when it would flex the fan would start to grind on radiator. i am running a csf 3 row radiator. maybe it is too thick? i noticed that it was awful dang close to the fan before. the jeep does have brand new trans mount. the engine mounts are in good shape. cant wrap my head around why the jeep cursed me.

3 cores are pretty thick. If the motor mounts are still good then you might want to think about stiffening tje uninody to reduce the chassis shifting when flexing.

Get a SYE. Dropping the tcase angles your engine/tranny down and sticks the bottom of the fan out. With a stock radiator, it would have been fine, but you have a fatty radiator in there. Take out the tcase drop and put in an SYE. Or get a thinner radiator.

No, the long arms themselves aren't the problem. What is the problem is a combo of things. A radiator thats too thick, a drivetrain at an angle with the cross member and possibly body flex due to the increased suspension flex. I'd make it easy on myself and ditch the 3 core radiator, or ditch the mechanical fan for full electrics!

Did you shift the trans/engine combo forward any on the new crossmember. Had a friend have this issue. When they bolted up the crossmember the engine /trans had shifted forward some and they bolted the trans mount in with it shifted forward. Caused some damage on the shroud and i think a line. Fix was just loosening the 4 trans mount bolts pushing it back some and retightening the bolts.

put a murray two row in it today. no more issues. come to find out i had a broken isolator in the radiator that was floppy.
now this is my first longarm kit. it feels like it rides really funny. its a rough country kit. so its radius arm. is it normal for them to ride weird? i have yet to get an alignment it is on the list.

Probably the alignment being off. You'll wanna go back and retorque everything after a drive or two also. Something could have worked loose or not have been torqued in the first place.
I just upgraded to longarms myself and it rides a lot better than my factory set-up did.
