long arm questions

There was a time we didn't know what these are called either . The first setup is better. But I agree, rather then collecting all these opinions all over again, its easier just to read the numerous threads we already have on this.

The orange ones are a Y-link set up, the othe is are a 3-link set up. That should give you enough info to find what you need. Theres a lot of good threads about this subject on Pirate as well.

ok i know its called a 3 link long arm setup its kinda shows that in the pics but i have read like crazy on pirates4x4.com and they are way more hardcore than what im looking for they dont have a simple stock axle with a longarm its all one ton axles or bigger i need to know the ride quality and benifits bc the jeep is not just a trail rig

ya i have heard that they are mean if u ask a simple question or trying to find info but tanks so much guys helmut wat size lift would be required to run the 3 link without the center link hitting things underneith or wat would u recommend i have a 3in now

I really dont know man. But I know that you dont have to mount the upper link with that kind of crossmember. I beleive Rock Krawler has a 3 link without the crossmember. Their upper link mounts differently onto the axle. It looks like it would clear better at lower lift height.

Yeah but it really looks like the upper driver side arm runs a bit more out of the way since they mount in front of the crossmember. Might not be a big difference but it is some. I found this closeup. Its of their 4link but the 3link looks the same as far as mounting.

There's barely any difference. My buddy has the Clayton 3 link and I'm running the RK 4 link. Only reason he has less room is bc he's running a 60.
