There was a time we didn't know what these are called either . The first setup is better. But I agree, rather then collecting all these opinions all over again, its easier just to read the numerous threads we already have on this.

The orange ones are a Y-link set up, the othe is are a 3-link set up. That should give you enough info to find what you need. Theres a lot of good threads about this subject on Pirate as well.

Pirate or not. Properly built 3 link is better in every way. So if you have the fab skills then go that route.

opinion, not fact.

There is no one perfect solution. All L/A configurations have pro's and con's.

I really dont know man. But I know that you dont have to mount the upper link with that kind of crossmember. I beleive Rock Krawler has a 3 link without the crossmember. Their upper link mounts differently onto the axle. It looks like it would clear better at lower lift height.

RK's mounts almost exactly the same.

Yes that is only my opinion. I am in no position to argue with Serious if he thinks otherwise. This guy really knows his stuff.

Yeah but it really looks like the upper driver side arm runs a bit more out of the way since they mount in front of the crossmember. Might not be a big difference but it is some. I found this closeup. Its of their 4link but the 3link looks the same as far as mounting.

There's barely any difference. My buddy has the Clayton 3 link and I'm running the RK 4 link. Only reason he has less room is bc he's running a 60.
