long arm kit?
 

I have a 6" lift in my jeep. Would you guys suggest long arm kit? If so. Good/cheap brand?

Which do you want, Good or Cheap?

I feel i wear this saying out but it holds true... Cheap, fast, reliable..you can only pick two. Go with quality the first time and be done.

Short arms don't like 6" lifts.

im at 5.5 or so and its ok with short arms, but i also have the arms stretched about an inch or so past what they should be, and im rolling on bilstein 5150s

before i stretched the arms it rode pretty bad, was also on RC shocks, short arms are managable but not ideal, i would highly recommend long arms. when i get mine i will more than likely get the rockkrawler 3-link. second choice would be serious off road long arms

Rough country has worked out most of the issues they had with the joints you hear about on the older kits and is a great bang for your buck. Good kit for entry level wheeling and a DD. I ordered a Serious kit and loved it untill I tried to install it. It's got to be one of the strongest kits out there for the money but I had serious fit and finish issues with it so it went back. Since I don't plan on thrashing this rig I went with the Rough country kit when I got my refund. Install was smooth and everything fit perfectly with out major modification.

I think I just have bad luck. I really felt bad sending it back but it just was not working for me. The mount holes the use the stock crossmember mounting positions were never drilled in the new crossmember before shipping and the angled parts that come around the unibody were 9/16-3/4" wider than my unibody. No way it was ever going to tighten up to the unibody. Not trying to talk **** or anything because it looked like a rugged kit but when I pay that kind of money for something I want it to fit right and not need serious modification to work as advertised.

Almost sounds like you got a crossmember for a rig with unibody stiffeners. He builds them wider on the sides on purpose to accommodate the plating on the rail, not sure why you would have gotten one though. I had a little bit of a gap there, but once the bolts were in it sucked right down.

No excuses here...the crossmember was wrong.

Problems have been corrected and this WILL NOT happen again.

I've got the RC kit on my woods buggy. No complaints. Rides nice. Flexes nice. Has taken one hell of a beating.

Probably going to go with Serious on my DD just to change it up and see the differences in the bushings.

There's no hard feelings and he is a great guy. No question his kit is stronger, bigger joints, thicker wall tubing, and very heavy. It is competitively priced. I have ordered other parts from him and he is great to business with. I usually have **** for luck so I wouldn't be surprised if I got the one in a million.

I know you warranty your crossmember and arms but, is there a warranty on the joints? I've been shopping around for long arms and I couldn't find any info on your site about the Teraflex joints having a warranty.
