Default Locker questions?

Got a stock 01 4.0 Cherokee with a c.825 in the rear and a Dana 30 up front, what I was wondering is what upgrades should I do if any before I throw a rear locker on?

No upgrades needed on 31's, toss in a locker and go

I notice a power loss with 32's stock gearing on very tough hills. But I think for normal wheeling you would be fine without gearing.

From what I understand the locker makes the most sense (most efficient solution to traction loss)

What type of locker do you suggest? (medium price range)

unfortunately there are limited options for the 29 spline 8.25

people seem to have good results with the spartan locker although its relatively new. Its basically a copy of the lock-right right, which is a simple design, few moving parts, and works great.

powertrax makes a no-slip locker. which i'm not a huge fan of. its supposed to be smoother acting than the lock-rights, but as parts wear, they tend to become tempermental and make a little noise.

Obviously the detroit locker is a good choice as well, along with arb, but those are up there in price.

Seen a ton of broken lockrights. Don't know if you plan on wheeling hard? However you small tires would help reliability. Just something to consider.

I have wheeled a lot of different trucks. And I have to say what you have is my favorite. Mine has been bulletproof off road. Good luck with the upgrade!
