lock-right install, need help.

Hey guys. I am putting a lock-right locker in my dana 30 axle on my 89 xj. So far we have gotten everything taken out and have the carrier removed. The problem is, there were no cross shaft retaining pins holding the cross shaft in, but the cross shaft still won't budge. We tried tapping it out with a hammer and it did not move a millimeter. What should we do? :wallbash:

Yes there is. There's a roll-pin that retains the cross pin.

Since you've been beating on the pin you better plan on getting a new pin.

No, there are supposed to be pins holding it in, but there are not. We can see the holes. The p.o. did some stupid stuff so i thought this might be one of his good ideas. I was planning on it.

See what i am trying to say is there are no roll pins. Those roll pins go through and hold the cross shaft it. Right. In my instructions they are called the "cross shaft retaining pins." They are not there. Like i can see the hole they are supposed to go in, but they are not there. Never mind my dad got the thing out somehow. Thanks anyway.

Alot of times the the pin will break inside the the cross shaft.
