Here you go Mr.Impatience.
Spunky munky on axel alley - YouTube
This just show how useless a front locker can be, there no weight on the tires which are aired down to 10.
He is the only xj to get up it so far. Ive seen it crack a main leaf in two. And cause a lot of body damage

After *****footing around for most of the video, he finally gave it some skinny pedal and went right up over it. If he would've done that from the beginning, that video could've been over in 15 seconds or less. So this rig is locked only in the front? If you fast forward to the end, it looks like a good video of why locking the front first is most beneficial.

And the purpose of putting up the whole video was to show you why a rear locker is better in steep climbs, you were literally able to see under/though the lugs on his tires

Well, if I was the guy spotting, right off the bat I woulda told those other dudes to STFU and let me spot. Calling out stupid stuff like that while someone is spotting is confusing and could get someone hurt, even killed. My bad on picking the line, I am not there and can't see it for myself, only from the angle it was shot at.

Right, but the debate is whether having just a locker in the front or the rear alone is more ideal. The jeep in this vid is locked in both the front AND rear, so they are working together. This would totally make sense for the argument if it was just the rear locked in this Jeep and open in the front.

What im saying is the rear locker did the majority of the work, while the front locker slipped and spun.
As far as calling out, one spotter can see everything. Were telling him stuff like dragging diffs, and tires coming up, to avoid the dangerous situations, id rather know when im about to roll to at least try to avoid it

nice work. you've shown that a locked/locked rig can make it over an obstacle
why does this prove that front lockers are useless? he clearly needed both

No you dont, the front did nothing until he had already peaked over the hill, at that point it wasnt even needed.
My point from the beginning was that for steep climbs fronts are useless. They don't have enough weight on the front axel to get any traction. The with guy just the rear locked didnt try this line. We should be going out soon again. Ill have him try it and another guy who is dual locked but selectable in the rear(turned off) try it. I can garuntee the guy with the rear will make it
Yes but we have no one that went with a front locker first, every one is either, open both, rear, locked, or dual locked
