Default In-line or Remote Transmission Filter

im bout to install a transmission cooler in the ole jeep finally. i saw a video of a guy that threw in a remote tranny filter, to add more fluid so it'll keep a little cooler. i was wondering if any of yall have done this and your results?
wont it restrict the flow a little since the pressure is so much lower than that of an engine? would just the cooler be fine and just flush the fluid and get a new filter?

thats the video

thanks

Haven't done it but since the AW4 comes from the factory with a minimal filter and it runs just fine as long as it's kept cool, I'd just put an aux cooler on there and call it good. I run a plate filter from an early explorer and it's been great and cost less that $25 for the cooler (junkyard) and hoses.

I already bought my cooler, it was like $30 at autozone. I just I'll just stick with the cooler and getta gauge for now.

Before I do anything with a transmission I go to a friend who owns a transmission shop and ask him first. About anything from Stock to Off Road and all out Racing he does all 3 and has an NHRA Pro Street 680ci.BBC w/NOS well over 2000hp.

He measured for my trans cooler for fit, the largest that would fit the correct position for it to be mounted in for air flow.

do a remote filter... it will save the trans. I change mine remote filter every oil change I just use the same filter a I use for the oil the factory filter really doesn't do all that much its just a screen that's it
