light bar vs a-pillar lights
im looking for a christmas present to buy myself and ive pretty much made up my mind of getting some off road lights for my jeep. i already have to 5 inch fog lights on the front bumper. now i am deciding between doing a pillar lights or a roof bar (4 lights) . what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? ive heard of problems with a pillar lights reflection badly off white hoods (which mine is). roof lights though would be more expensive (almost double the price) and would be much more complicated to install.
so which do you like better for looks and use, a pillar lights or roof lights?
thanks,
joma.
PS: (i already have a roof rack to carry my spare tire)

I have roof lights (4, 100w spots) and love them. Wiring was a little complicated to start but nothing unmanageable. That being said, I also want to get a pair of A-pillar HID's.. I would imagine that roof lights would hurt your gas mileage more than A-Pillar..

i have the a pillar lights. i have a dark colored jeep and the reflection isnt bad, actually helped me the other night weaving through trees. I was going to get a light bar up top but I use my roof racks alot for my kayak. the a pillars were also very easy to wire. get Detours brackets from here, very well made and mount up nice and easy.
