Lifting 2-3 inches with shackles..how to correct geometry???

I have a set of adjustable shackles just lying around collecting dust so why not use them. What else should I do to correct pinion angle? T-case drop? Shims? What are your thoughts?......Yes, I searched but couldn't get a positive answer. Thanks in advance......

shims or see if it is ok with the shackles alone

I figured while I have it apart, I would throw in a set of 3° shims...just to be safe. Then, if needed, I'd drop the t-case 3/4".

You may not need to do anything. And for installing shackles there is no reason to dismount the leaf springs from the axle... Just throw them in and see where youre at.

I would forget the tcase drop and just get an extended drive shaft.

you should be fine with just the shackles. Are they 2-3ins longer or 2 to 3in lift shackles because wiith the axle being placed half you down the leaf the shackle must be twice as long as the lift you desire longer then the factory shackle.

The shackles will give you between 2-3 inches of lift, depending on which set of mounting holes you use. I guess i'll just give it a shot with the shackles alone and see what happens.

keep in mind the shackle WILL tip the pinion upward... just saying :nerd:
