Default lifted cherokee bogs

I have a 88 cherokee 4.0 what is happening is ill floor it and it will only rev to about 3000 then shift and when it is in 3rd and 4th and I floor it it just bogs and toms drop to about 1500 what can cause this it just had a o2 replaced new header and exhaust it hasn't always done this the previous owner said the intake air temp sensor is bad and it started bogging after it went out but im not throwing a check engine code please help

seriously no one can help...when im on the freeway i floor it and it act like its going into a 5th gear and has no get up and go also doesnt down shift when from a dead stop i floor it and it wont shift past 3000 but if i put it into 1/2 and floor it it will rev out to limiter

check all the bolts in the bellhousing.. mine did the same when missing top bellhousing bolts and 2 side ones loose as hell.. use red loc-tite

is it under a load,or in park also? if it is just under a load I would look at your fuel pressure.
