Lift upgrade go long or short
I have a rough country 4.5 kit with around 300 miles on it.its just there base kit and want to add 2 inches to it.should I just sell my kit and buy long arm kit or and spacer to my kit or get the drop brackets for the control arms or upgrade to the long arms? I want a good ride I drive this jeep every day and don't mind spending the money just want it to be right. I hate that harsh ride that I'm getting now.

Since you ready have that kit, I would say pick theirs or someone else's long arm kit, and add some spacers or ACOS up front. And whatever you need to do in the back.

i ran the rubicon express 5.5 short arm kit with the drop brackets for 5 years.
it rode extremely well. very comparable ride/flex as my long arm upgrade.
i just went with long arms as it is the proper way to go when you go above 5.5 inches.
but since you're at this point, just go long arm. you won't regret it.

Nothing wrong with the drop brackets. It's a proven design that was around before any of the long arm kits. I've run every trail at JV(that a full bodied rig can handle) without any problems. I wouldn't get rid of mine for any long arm kit with brackets below the frame rails.
