Default Lift questions!

Just started lifting my 2000, 2 days ago and it's been a mess. Broke nutserts in the frame but finally after 2 days I have the rear done. Installed is a 3" leaf pack and h.d. Eng relocation bracket, so at this time I'm guessing the rear is around 4-4.5 of lift. From what I have I researched looks like I need a sye now and a front driveshaft? What year driveshaft will work? And do you do any mods to the front shaft before installing?

Ok I'm about to start on the front soon as I'm done typing this and all I have is re 4.5 coils with shocks ordered for front and rear. I plan to buy a long arm kit very soon but for now I want to at least get the front up. What else will I need on the front? New steering arms? New adjustable track bar? Will stock steering work ok and just replace the track bar? Do I need a new track bar bracket? Also seen different brackets for the axle side of the track bar. Again I'm going to be running stock upper and lower arms for a short period of time but would like to have the steering and track bars at least done now. As you all can tell I'm very new and thanks in advance!

if you're planning on going long arms in the future, you're definitely gonna want the double sheer type track bar instead of the TRE type. You're also gonna want a better steering setup than the stock Y setup, to make use of the articulation of those long arms. As well as longer brake lines, longer shocks, longer bump stops, and limiting straps. There's a chart floating around for driveshaft lengths, you'll have to measure where you're going to be at with your lift height, rear axle, and transmission as the lengths can vary.

Expect a HORRIBLE ride with those stock arms..and your coils may rub your bumpstop towers.
You NEED a new trac bar.. id suggest a double sheer.

Depending on what size tires your gonna run you may want to look into upgrading your steering.
You should have new brake lines..

Going to do some research now on double sheer track bars. So will the stock brackets that hold the track be ok? I have a set of 34x10.5 super swampers mounted on some soft 8 8" wheels. As far as bumps that's pretty much trial and error correct, on stuffing the tires either in the quarters or fenders? I have cut the fenders some and have trimmed to the pinch so far on the quarters but I believe I'm going to do some drastic cutting real soon and tube both the fenders and quarters. Thanks again for the info guys!

Can you all recommend a double sheer trac bar and some steering components, hopefully be able to order all parts from one vendor.

A V8 ZJ tie rod is a good way to go.

And IRO has a great double shear trac bar.

Go ahead and order some extended bumps, then go from there.
You dont want those tires getting slashed up in yo fenders.

I run the rugged ridge double sheer adj trac bar, along with their frame bracket, and their trac bar brace. Pretty decent setup thus far.

Did you upgrade on the steering yet?
