lift question.
Alright guys, gonna get the 3 inch lift from rough country for my 91 XJ. Thoughts? I've heard people say that Rusty's is better.

Anything else i'll need for this? Longer brake lines? Feedback is very appreciated.

Not a horrible kit.
Personally I don't like the quality of shaft plating on RC shocks. They seem to rust and pit very easily. We have to warrenty quite a few.
In my opinion the best way is to NOT buy a kit. Piece it out.
Bilstiens are good shocks. OME makes a good spring by reviews, etc....
With a 3in kit you can skip the control arms, but a track bar or a loction bracket would be better. Or if you have the dough, adjustable control arms and track bar.
Do you really need sway bar spacers? T-case lowering kit?
This is why I piece everything out. You will end up adding stuff or not using things anyways even if you buy a kit.

I'd have to echo holycaveman. Piece together a lift.
I did Nth* coils and OME HD leafs for 3". Added ironman LCA's and JKU rubicon shocks to round it out. It has awesome flex off road and an awesome on road ride.

You say 3" out of your HD leafs. Well I just read a post say he got 4" and now I'm on another saying he is right at 2 after settling.
WTF? How does anyone decide on anything?!? lol

This is the stuff I was talking about in my post. I've read hundreds of posts about lifts and every single one varies. It's like there is not any consistency with lift products and XJs.

At first, it's whatever you can afford to get on your budget. All springs will settle after a while. Some more than others.
I heard the same thing. Then bought it anyways. Rusty's makes a nice kit. If you are looking fro OME quality, then get OME.
Beyond that, Rusty's is fine. Leave the shocks out of their kit,(sell them) and upgrade to some Bilsteins.
