Default Lift kits

I am looking at putting a 3-4" lift on my 99 XJ and was wondering what brand gives the smoothest overall ride. This is my daily driver.

I'm wondering if you've ever used the Search feature. This is asked, what seems like, a couple times a day.

Look into DPG Offroad. They sell Old Man Emu lift kits, which is one of the nicest riding kits out there. I believe they sell 3.5" springs

From what I've gathered and learned so far is the majority of the complete one branded kits don't necessarily offer the best components in every aspect of the lift itself.

Seems like most people put their kits together with different brands to get the best performing component for a certain aspect of the lift.

In other words, you will find that X-brand control arms will work better or perform to your needs with Z-brand shocks and Y-brand springs and leaf packs...This is what I'm in the middle of doing now is buying individual components to build and tailor my lift with the brands I think will perform the best with my type of driving. Hope this makes sense.

This is why Rubicon Express does not include shocks in most of their kits. It means you're not locked into a single configuration.

You'll quickly learn that some brands include generic "White Can" shocks and call them "Custom" because they slap a Brand X sticker on them.

Old Man Emu or Rubicon express are the recommended kits for the jeep cherokee.

I would do a currie lift over All the others out there if 3" or less lift. and Full traction or Rock Krawler if 4" or more.

You do know you get what you pay for in suspension and shocks, right?
