Default Lift kit question

Hey guys, question for you, I have a 99 xj sport, just put a 4.5in lift on it, I did a 1 in transfer case drop, and I am going to be installing a slip yoke eliminator for the rear this weekend, along with a new rear drive shaft. My question is what about the front drive shaft? It seams to be making a loy of noise, I greased the zerk but that seamed to make it worse, any thoughs? Do I need a slip yoke for the front? Or should I do free wheeling hubs? Or what will fix that problem?

No, you do not need an SYE for the front....there's no Slip Yoke to eliminate.

Pull the shaft and replace the u-joints, or have your favorite driveline shop do it.

Maybe just the u-joints?
There is no need for an "eliminator" for the front.
Should be good up to 6" so you should be fine.

Take out the t-case drop if you do a SYE and pull the shaft and check it. Could be u-joints and/or the ball and cup in the dual cardon joint. All of which are pretty easy to replace. You'll know it's the ball and cup if when you're rotating the joint and it clunks and has an excessive amount of play.

If your gonna do a SYE and new shaft the Tcase drop if not needed and would remove it for more clearance.
