I've got a buddy of mine that recently re-geared his Jeep Liberty KK (2008-present) and has the 3.73's sitting around. Considering I've got a 5-speed on 32's its a perfect deal for me if they cross over. Does anyone know if the gears will work in a HP D30 and C8.25 ?

According to him, the KK uses a "modified" D30 carrier for their independent front and the rear is a 8.25

Any experience with this would be helpful.

Im pretty sure the rear is the same. But I've never messed with one, so I'm not sure.

I wonder if it would just make more sense to call a gearing dealer. I'll make some calls.

Negative....

The D30HD in the KK has unique running gears and the 8.25 apparently uses a different bolt size for the ring.

Worth a look I guess; maybe this thread will help someone else out in the future.
