LEDS in dash
Hey, i was wondering if its possible to change out the back light on the speed dome rater to a red led light. I found a site and they sell leds, but what size should i get. If you had any experiance with leds, please share i would love to see what yours turned out.

I used christmas light leds on mine with 470 ohm resistors. The christmas light ones have a flat top so they make the light even spread instead of bright spots where the lights are, but any flat tipped led will work. It was an easy mod (hardest part is removing the plastic trim around the dash, but thats easy on yours since you don't have the new style chrysler column.)

Engine: 4.0L upgraded charging system & blue top, flowmaster 44, hi flow cat and two core rad.
I put some white gauge faces and led bulbs on mine. Mine is a '90 the newer ones use a less bulbs and I'm not sure what size, but my '90 used 9 194 bulbs, I used 360 degrees I recommend using 360 degree ones for more even illumination. I'm very happy with mine I used 6500k white bulbs.

@Illuminator. that looks so clean. thats one of the first upgrades I'll be doing to my next xj. where did you get the gauge faces from?
