From what I understand, you need to seperate the leaf pack, cut off the ends of the main leaf, measure it against your existing leaf pack and trim it just shorter than the main leaf in your leaf pack so it fits within the ends of your existing leaf pack. Place it on top of your bottom leaf and take the top leaf from the dakota pack and put it under the top leaf on your XJ spring pack. If you currently have a 3.5" lift, you add these leafs and you will probably net somewhere between 1.5-2" more of lift. You may need longer u-bolts to compensate for the new lift. Hope that helps. Good Luck!!

i got clamps at the junk yard. I think an s10?

BTW you will also need a new center pin for your pack. the dakota center pin is bigger, I think 3/8 but double check. drill out the hole on yourxj main leaf, or any other xj leaves you will use, to make them all the same size
