Default Leaf spring question

If I have 3 inch front coils. How many inches should my leaf springs be in order to keep my xj level?

If you mean how many inches of lift should the rear springs provide it should be 3" obviously. Most 3" spring packs take time to settle though. I am running a 3" full length add-a-leaf added to my stock springs and it didnt sag, my leafs were not worn out and it provided upwards of 3.5-4" of lift so i had to add front coil spacers to actually get my xj level. Not sure if this helped

Thanks 98 cherokee. So in essence if you bought a 3inch add a leaf and it took you to roughly 4, I should go with a 2-2.5 to keep it level with the coils...?

No, add a leafs are very hit and miss. Get either a 3" add a leaf or get a set of s10 leafs from your local junk yard and make a bastard pack.

The bastard pack is taking a couple s10 leafs and mixing them in with your XJ leafs. It's a more reliable and better riding aal
