Default keep breaking pinion yokes d35

exactly like the title says I keep breaking my rear pinion yoke.97 cheroke 6.5 lift sye tom woods shaft and 2.5 degree shims d35. the pinion angle is good and matches my buddies with the same setup but a 8.25 rearend. what can I do to solve this? its not under serve abuse or in situations where you would think it would cause problems ( neutral drops, bouncing the rear wheels off the ground and locking up when it returns to the ground -none of those. im at a loss and don't want to keep Yukon gear in business of my pinion yokes- thanks in advance

You should be able to use the same drive shaft, I'd have to double check. But yea, stronger. Go for a later model one, it'll be 29 spline. Even stronger.

That's what I was thinking too, especially mentioning Yukon stuff.

Sounds like you have some bad axle wrap going on and swapping the axle won't fix that.

I'v been threw 3 yokes on my d35. One when stock and two with 2" shackles. All within the past 10k miles. first ones I had badly sacked leafs, last one had a healthy stock leaf. Not sure what to do from there.

I blaim mine breaking on axle wrap and the fact I have a heavy right foot.

I had 4 degree shims at 4.5" lift.
An 8.25 has a longer diff housing compared to the 35 but the driveshaft length should still be good.
