Default just ordered RE 4.5 super flex kit for 98 stock xj sport, what else should I get?

Hey guys I currently have a stock 98 xj sport auto 4x4.

I just ordered the RE 4.5 superflex kit. Other than doing a HnT, is there anything else required or that I should keep in mind if I plan on keeping 275/15 tires on but plan on getting 31-32s later on?

This is for a daily driver and I intend on going on trails and mudding with it too. I don't really want to invest any more money at the moment but if it is something cheap I wouldn't mind adding to the build if I can get parts from junkyard etc.

I dont remember if the RE kit comes with it, but longer brake lines.... also, an adjustable trac bar... you will need a "new" rear driveshaft.... from what I read, you can used an old front dshaft from another xj

It does come with longer brake lines and adjustable track bar. But yes the OP will need a SYE or HnT with driveshaft. Also shocks depending on what RE kit they order.

Exactly what I thought. I have 31's on my RE 3.5" lift and going to 33's in the next month or so.

I started the same way and gradually replaced almost all the RE stuff. Your sway bar links will likely be touching the coils, so you might need to relocate that. The ride will be harsh, so an lca relocation kit and quality adjustable LCAs and UCAs might be your next move. You do need a better track bar and might want to avoid RE in that area. I have the HD one they make and it's not great nor HD. Also take the opportunity to brace your steering box with a JCR plate.. you can find more info in my build..

Daily driver on 31"s ? Go 3" lift.
Or no lift and install flat flares.
At 4.5" lift, the stock steering will bind when suspension droops and limits down-travel on one side.
Will need longer e-brake lines too.
