Just installed Rugged Ridge SYE...
I just finished installing my Rugged ridge SYE and new drive shaft. Besides the fact ill probably have nightmares about snap rings for the next month, it wasnt too bad! haha!
When I finished i took it for a drive and everything is great! no vibes and feels really solid! One small problem though...My speedo doesnt work now, which isnt a big deal, but my CEL also came on. I dont have a code reader so im not sure what it is, but could it be because the speedo doesnt work now?
I dont have time to mess with it tonight because i have to go to work in a few minutes, ill get the code read tomorrow though.
Any thoughts??

check and make sure the speed sensor is plugged in. maybe you forgot it on reassembly. would make sense as to why the cel is on also

I never unplugged it. I did it with the trans case in the jeep so i just removed it and positioned it out of the way.

the speedo gear has to be clocked properly when installed.
chances are, you just stuck it back in and tightened the finger clamp down.
you will need to remove the gear again, and turn it slightly (hopefully the same position it was in before you first removed it) to get it to register your speed again. if it's still acting up, repeat until you're satisfied.
but yeah, that rugged ridge sye is a good unit. pretty much exactly like the AA kit in every detail. (i was told from a RR dealer that AA makes that kit).
i have a brand new one in the box on my shelf i was gonna use, but decided to do a dana 300 doubler instead.

well the speedo not Workin is the least of my worries. u-joint at the axle end of rear driveshaft must not have been pressed in good enough as it came apart on me half way to work. had to walk the last 2miles...
