Just got my chinese vendor snorkel
Just got my chinese vendor snorkel. First impression. Its a cheap piece of junk. The top where it filter's is cut too wide to fit onto the rest of the tube. The plastic tube that hooks up to the airbox is cheap. The hardware was rolling around loose inside the box and I am missing two bolts. Besides all of that. It is sweet and I cant wait to install it. Also I will need to go to the store and get some more parts. Like more hose clamps, rtv and some bolts. I think it will work just fine for $120. I'll keep you posted. It might be a cheap chinese piece ( I hate buying chinese, never do) but its a snorkel.

Those seem to be the most common complaints with that snorkel. But for the price it can't really be beat. Couple dollars for replacement bolts, some minor fabbing and you're still saving hundreds over a name brand one.

i must have a better cheap chinese piece of junk. lol.
i was actually impressed with my cheap china snorkel, but mine is flat with no chinese writing on it... and i fit perfectly.
still, as you already know, just install it and seal it well and it will do it's job just fine.

The "flexible" tube that came with mine broke when I installed it. I am ordering some SCAT tubing to make the connection from the snorkel to the airbox. I wouldn't trust that brittle hose in water.

Well It feel's cheaply made and while tightening down my first hose clamp it cracked and broke. So I was not happy. But now that it's on and installed I'm stoked. That doesn't mean its not a cheap piece it's just that I've wanted a snorkel for so long that it's awesome that I got one and it works. Make sure you have a hole saw for this installation. I wound up making friends with a new neighbor that let me use his.
