Default junkyard lift help

spotted a cherokee at the jy and noticed it had rc shocks on it so i kept looking...it appears to have a coil spacer in the front and aal in the rear but it also has a different lca...i will be bringing a tape measure with me tomorrow...how can i tell if its a budget boost or an actual lift kit, what other parts would be different?/would i need as well..also it has a tow hook bolted to the frame in the front but isnt the factory bracket/tow hook...is it even safe or worth it to get that too???

any help is appreciated as usual

At most, it probably has a RC 3" lift. Measure the Spacer in the front, that should tell you how much lift it has. Everything would pretty much be stock if it has a budget lift. Take pics and post.

exactly it could be a 4.5in kit with aal in the back, 3in coils in the front with spacers to help. lower control arms should have a "kink" in them if so then its not a BB. My .02.

My opinion dont waste your time... Its a cheap probly $150 lift... Junkyards probly gonna want that much and youll have to pull the lift off yourself... May as well buy a used or new one off ebay... 3.5in lifts are a dime a dozen and cheap

ok what else would give me a "clue" as far as other parts...i was just confused because of the spacers...i will measure it tomorrow and check for other stuff...what about the tow hook does that sound like a good or bad idea? and also the axles and possible lockers maybe haha

If u jack the rear end in the air and spin a tire then the other will spin the same direction if its locked/welded/or limited slip.. Open carrier the other tire will spin the other way... Most people are smart enough not to send locked axles to the junkyard... As for the hook forget it... Hooks are weaker than loops or shackles... better off tieing around the axle lol

I got my 1st lift from the bone yard... rough country, 3" no shocks... steering stabilizer $70

got some used shocks from a JK Rubi for $30...

upgraded to 4.5" by selling my front 3" springs for $45 (got the Rough Country 4.5" NEW IN BOX for only $50... and some rough country 1.5" shackles from the junk yard for $6 for the pair...
